Most Estate fencing is painted black but we can use any colour on the RAL paint chart and we have used many colours over the years and would be happy to discuss and advise. In any case, the steel bars are shot blasted and treated with an anti-rust primer before it arrives on site. We then re-prime after welding and spray paint the fence 2 topcoats on site once fitted. Whilst this provides very good anti rust protection please note that paintwork on both wrought iron and mild steel Estate fencing requires maintenance every few years.
Gates
With a multitude of decorative and replica finishes available we are masters at installing balustrades and handrails on both our own staircases as well as existing ones.
A balustrade consists of a railing or handrail supported by individual balusters usually in an ornamental design.
We construct balustrades from both cast iron and fabricated steel, this enables us to replicate many existing designs especially original cast patterns. We also have a vast experience in hand fabricating and designing more contemporary balustrades adding ornate and modern features to staircases and buildings around London and the UK.
We have installed Balustrades in some of the Country's most prestigious buildings including examples in Eton College (add more).
We have a wide-ranging library of patterns, please get in touch with our team for more information.
NEWEL POST
Found at both ends of a ballustrade, newel posts are traditionally made from cast iron. To see our full range click here.
BALLUSTER
A baluster is a short decorative pillar forming part of a series supporting the rail or coping.

HAND RAIL
We offer a wide range of bespoke metal handrails using a verity of different metals and finishes. See our finishes page for more detail. We also work with specialist joiners to create bespoke combination staircases.
With our balustrades covering a wide range of materials and manufacturing techniques it’s the product and process are often bespoke. However, we still aim to produce both cast and fabricated elements in our workshop, leaving purely assembly work for site. We are able to fit to stairs of all designs and materials often working closely with other contractors such as concrete and joinery specialists.
